The highlight of the trip was touring Angkor Wat. Here are definitely a few photos. If you want to see all 400 or so pictures, I can hook you up. There are several temples thoughout the Siem Reap province. We only had 2 days so it was early to rise and it didn't matter what the temperature was. We toured in the morning then came back for 'siesta' at the Freedom Temple. [Nak's joke everyday] We usually went straight for the pool. Then back out in the afternoon. The temples looked different depending on the light and Nak [our guide] knew exactly when to show up. Enjoy!

Get Smart
See it! Love it! You will laugh until you cry. Cath and I saw it on the 4th of July in KL [Kuala Lumpur] after riding an indoor roller coaster. Pictures will follow- just see the movie!
Road to Angkor
Back from our Southeast Asia trip, Connie, Carol, and Catherine are dealing with jet lag [Connie has finally slept through the night at the end of last week and I took a nap this afternoon- I just couldn't make it] and getting back to our lives. 2nd Annual Spring Recital was a success. We had trombone, clarinet, alto sax, piano, violin and guitar numbers. Most were nervous and some were truly amazing. Cat will probably have a longer posting on her blog- maybe even some video! Here is a pre- recital picture.

The Favorite Aunt goes to California for Spring Break 2008
I decided to spend my spring break with Kenny and his family. We decided that I have only been to the new house once for Thanksgiving. This was my first solo trip to be with the boys. At least for a short while, I think I have won the favorite aunt award with Kenny's boys. That is until the next aunt goes out to California. I had a great time but will need a little bit of time to get caught up on sleep. For more picture go my Cat's blog
I know my sisters are questioning my claim of being the favorite aunt but I offer this picture as proof. I love putting my french fries in my hamburger before I start eating it. After Ian saw me do it he told Johanna that he wanted to have his hamburger like Catherine. If that isn't enough the first Drew came back from school he told Johanna he was excited to play with me after school. He even let me cuddle with him while we watched tv and read books.
Ian and I played while Drew was at school and Johanna was with Owen at his doctor's check up.
At John's Incredible Pizza own loved the carousel. He rode it twice and then we ran out of tickets. He cried when we took him off.

February Fun In Texas
Catherine and Carol happened to visit the week that Ty Detmer spoke at the institute. It was very enjoyable and we had to get a ticket. We talked about the Miami game and the holiday bowl. We said that we could never cheer for Texas A&M and he said that he couldn't either.
Catherine was imitating the creepy talking diorama of Lyndon Johnson telling jokes.
Jen, Connie, Pauline, Catherine, and Carol at the SaltLick. This is such a Texan restaurant with great BBQ. And don't worry dad, we did have the blackberry cobbler.

It had been several years since a battle had been waged over the couch. Since there is only one couch now and Kenny was hogging it, Ian and I tried to take it back. It is more difficult since a little child was involved but no one was harmed and Kenny was de-couched.
