It had been several years since a battle had been waged over the couch. Since there is only one couch now and Kenny was hogging it, Ian and I tried to take it back. It is more difficult since a little child was involved but no one was harmed and Kenny was de-couched.

Celebrate '78!

I decided to celebrate the year of my birth for my 30th birthday. We went to Good Will and found ourselves some jiven' disco clothing and partied the night away. These are my roommies: Millie, Jordana and Mandy. A special shout-out to Mandy's yellow suit that her mother made and wore in the 1970s. It makes me wonder what clothes I should keep for my progeny to wear to theme parties.

Dad Retires (sort of)

After almost 40 years of working as a lawyer in GJ, Dad began the process of retiring. His partnership dissolved at the end of the year and he moved into his office at home. Connie spent many hours helping pack up before anyone came home for the holidays and we moved him out officially after Christmas with the help of Kenny, Carol, Connie, and Darren Case.Two days later, everyone that was home make one last visit to a now empty and therefore clean office to mark the occasion of Dad's retirement. A few tears were shed and the precious pictures and mementos were finally taken off the walls.Besides loving the elevator, Drew and Ian found another play area when visiting Papa's office.

Cath gets a piano

After driving back from GJ, Cath arrived with her piano. It took us about 30 minutes to assemble the piano and we did it without any instructions. Her first song was, wait for it. . . Baby Elephant Walk. Apparently this new purchase will benefit me since I've let my talent on the piano go, according to Dad.
